
These parmesan shirred eggs are so simple to make but are such a delicious egg dish. Shirred eggs are made by adding heavy cream and eggs to a ramekin, then baking until the egg whites are set. Plus I add lots of parmesan and top with chives for extra yummy flavor! This recipe is part of my “perfect brunch” and is an important savory element.

- 1 tsp olive oil or butter
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp parmesan, grated
- salt and pepper
- 2 tsp chives, chopped
- bread, for serving
how to make parmesan shirred eggs
- Preheat the oven to 375 F.
- Throughly oil or butter two small (around 8 oz) ramekins.
- Crack two eggs into each ramekin.
- Pour 2 tbsp of heavy cream into each ramekin.
- Top each with 1 tbsp of parmesan, salt, and pepper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the egg whites are set.
- Remove from the oven, top with chives, and eat with bread. Enjoy!
