I am obsessed with this easy poke bowl! I am allergic to shellfish, but I LOVE fish, so raw fish is the craziest I can get with seafood. But I’ll take it! And poke bowls are one of my favorite ways to eat raw fish.
For this bowl, the tuna is tossed with a simple marinade, then put in a bowl with rice, greens, and veggies. And you can customize it with whatever you want / whatever you have in your fridge!
what works well in a poke bowl?
- rice
- mixed greens
- cucumber
- avocado
- edamame
- green onion
- seaweed salad
- carrots
- pickled radish
- cabbage
So many options! If you don’t have the exact ingredients I list below, substitute them with any of the options above. And of course we cannot forget the tuna! If you can’t get fresh, safe to eat raw tuna, you can substitute the tuna with cooked salmon or artificial crab. Tuna will obviously be best, but any of those proteins work fine!
