I know that summer has officially started, but today we are making spring pizza! This pizza is packed with all of the best things: ricotta, pesto, prosciutto, asparagus, peas, and eggs.
For this spring pizza, you can use any pizza dough you want! My favorite dough I use is from a local pizza shop. I buy their fresh pizza dough, and cook it at home! Check with your local pizza shop and see if they’ll do the same! If they don’t, just buy whatever pizza dough you can find at the store. Or you can make it homemade! The kind of dough you use will determine the cooking temperature and cooking time.
If you are still in the pizza mood, try my homemade pizza rolls, they will make you feel like a kid again!
- pizza dough
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup pesto
- 1 cup asparagus shavings
- 1/2 cup peas
- 3-4 slices prosciutto
- 1-2 eggs
- zest of one lemon
- black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups arugula
- Preheat the oven to 425 (if the instructions on your dough say something different, follow the dough instructions).
- Mix together ricotta cheese and pesto in a bowl and spread onto the pizza dough. Top with shaved asparagus and peas. Tear prosciutto into smaller pieces and spread across pizza. Depending on the size of your pizza, crack 1-2 eggs on top.
- Bake in the oven (or air fryer or pizza oven). Bake until the dough is golden brown and the eggs are still a bit runny (i baked mine for 14 minutes).
- Top with lemon zest, black pepper, arugula and enjoy!!
