This creamy cranberry jalapeño dip is my new favorite appetizer. It’s creamy, a little spicy, perfectly tangy, and just sweet enough to balance everything out. The combination of roasted jalapeños and jammy cranberries makes this dip so so good—and it comes together in under 30 minutes!
Whether you’re serving it for a holiday party, game night, or just because you’re craving something fun and flavorful, this dip will be everyone’s favorite.
ingredients you’ll need
- 3 jalapeños – roasted for a mellow, smoky heat
- 1 teaspoon olive oil – to help the jalapeños roast perfectly
- 1 cup fresh cranberries – tart and vibrant
- ¼ cup sugar – balances the cranberries’ natural tartness
- 8 oz cream cheese – for a smooth, creamy base
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or sour cream) – adds lightness and tang
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese – salty and nutty
- ½ teaspoon each salt, garlic powder, and onion powder – for depth and balance
how to make creamy cranberry jalapeño dip
1. ROAST THE JALAPEÑOS
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Toss them with olive oil and spread on a baking sheet. Roast for 15 minutes, until soft and lightly blistered. Let them cool completely, then chop into small chunks.
2. MAKE THE CRANBERRY MIXTURE
Add cranberries and sugar to a small pot over medium heat. Stir occasionally as the cranberries burst and cook down into a thick, jammy sauce—about 5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and let cool completely.
3. MIX THE DIP
In a medium bowl, combine the cooled cranberries, chopped jalapeños, cream cheese, Greek yogurt, parmesan, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until everything is smooth and creamy.
4. SERVE AND ENJOY
You can serve it right away or chill it for an hour to let the flavors meld together.

Looks amazing! Might try this with whole berry canned cranberry sauce in place of the fresh ones since that’s what I’ve got, hopefully it’s not too gooey
hi! yes, that should be fine! i just wouldn’t add as much. i’d only add 1/3 cup, maybe 1/2 cup. you don’t want the dip to be overly sweet or runny!
What type of parmesan cheese do you use? Grated? Fresh?
i always use fresh grated! but pre-grated will work fine too.
