These pickled red onions are everything! They are a staple in my fridge. They are great on tacos, salads, toasts, eggs, bowls, etc. They go well with so many things!
Also pickled things are good for your gut, so just more reason to make these! Once you make your pickled onions, keep them in the fridge in a sealable container. It will last for 3-4 weeks!
pickled red onions
- 1 red onion
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
- 2 cups water
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- Thinly slice red onion and put into a jar. Combine vinegar, water, salt, and sugar in a small pot over medium heat and bring to a boil. Take off heat and pour mixture over onions and let cool. Store in the fridge and enjoy!
