To continue with my grilled cheese obsession, let me introduce you to the pulled pork and apple grilled cheese, with a secret ingredient — honey!
The apple in this grilled cheese adds such a great crunch and sweetness, and the saltiness of the pulled pork is balanced perfectly with the honey! I would honestly eat this sandwich every day.
Also, let’s talk about what bread is best for grilled cheese. A basic sourdough loaf works beautifully. Call me crazy, but even a ciabatta would be great. My recent favorite though, has been hearty multigrain bread! Dave’s Killer bread is great, and toasts really well in the pan with some butter.
If you love grilled cheeses, after you try this one you have to try my caramelized onion grilled cheese! And we can be grilled cheese friends forever.
